Chippers Women’s Golf League

Registration for the Chippers Women’s Golf League of Valley Green Golf Course in North Aurora will be held at the course on Tuesday, April 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The course is located at 314 Kingswood, North Aurora. The league is open to all women golfers from beginner to pro level. It begins on Friday mornings starting May 6 and it runs until Sept. 30. Call 630-907-0328.

Amateur boxing show

The Jesse “The Law” Boxing Club will host the “Down for the Count” amateur boxing show that will feature Aurora youth boxers and residents. The show takes place on April 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Harkness Center, 60 S. 4th Street in Aurora. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and kids under five get in free. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit boxing gym. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. Call 630-631-9270.

Rock Creek Softball League seeks teams

The Rock Creek Softball League in Plano is looking to add at least two new teams. Games are played at Klatt Field in City Park on Main Street. There is a $900 entry fee. The league plays Wednesday and Thursday night doubleheaders. The league will play at least 20 games and features a tournament after the regular season. Call Greg H.
