Boys basketball

Ottawa 54, Yorkville 46 — Taylor Carter led the Foxes (10-14) with 17 points. Kyle Shimp scored 14 points.

Newark 67, Gardner-South Wilmington 42 — Brett Anderson totaled 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Norsemen. The four-year varsity player now has 2,001 points for his career. Jack Clausel added 21 points while Joe Hughes scored 14 points.

Hinckley-Big Rock 61, Plano 46 — Bernie Conley led the Royals with 19 points and six assists. Jared Madden added 15 points. For the Reapers, Collin Seyller totaled 14 points. Cody Dryden chipped in 10 points and five steals.

Putnam County 76, Somonauk 68 — Reece Bode had 23 points and 15 rebounds for the Bobcats (11-15). John Wathen scored 19 points.

Girls basketball

Geneva 54, Glenbard East 39 — The Vikings advanced to the championship game at the Class 4A St. Charles East Regional.

St. Charles East 59, Batavia 40 — The Bulldogs bowed out with a loss at the Class 4A St. Charles East Regional.

Kaneland 50, Sandwich 14 — The Knights rolled to a win at the Class 3A Burlington Central Regional. Aly O’Herron led Kaneland with 20 points on 6-for-12 shooting from behind the three-point arc. Caroline Heimerdinger totaled 10 points.

Men’s basketball

Aurora 83, Dominican 75 — Jordan Hester led the Spartans (19-6, 14-2) with 18 points and four assists. Esteban Vega chipped in 17 points.
