Boys basketball

Geneva 69, Quincy 55 — Nate Navigato totaled 23 points to lead the Vikings. Luke Polishak chipped in 15 points.

Wheaton Academy 57, Marmion 47 — Alex Theisen had 18 points for the Cadets.

Girls basketball

Kaneland 52, IMSA 19 — Ally O’Herron led the Knights (14-10) with eight points, four rebounds and four steals. Sarah Grams added eight points.

Hinckley-Big Rock 55, Lena-Winslow 44 — Abbie Tosch poured in 20 points to lead the Royals (15-12). Lauren Paver chipped in 12 points.

Geneva 62, St. Charles North 55 — The Vikings clinched the UEC River title behind 23 points from Sidney Santos.

South Elgin 55, East Aurora 34 — Tyshee Towner scored 19 points for the Tomcats.

Metea Valley 51, Bartlett 43 — Jenny Voytell led the Mustangs with 18 points. Lori Obendorf went 11-for-13 from the line and finished with 17 points.

Batavia 65, Streamwood 40 — Liza Fruendt poured in 24 points to lead the Bulldogs (17-9, 8-4). Sami Villarreal totaled 12 points as Batavia denied the Sabres a share of the UEC River title.

Wrestling

Class 1A Harvard Regional — Aurora Central (102.5 points) finished second in the team standings, while Mooseheart (78) took third. The Ramblers had three individual champions — Joe Freemolu (170 pounds), Junior Smith (182) and U-Jay Smith (220). For the Chargers, Dan Cuevas (106) and Tony Hizo (220) each took second.

Class 2A Sycamore Regional — Kaneland took second with 144.5 team points. Esai Ponce (132 pounds), Sonny Horn (138), Dan Goress (145) and Zach Theis (285) captured individual titles for the Knights.

Class 1A Seneca Regional — Plano won the team championship with 182.5 points. The Reapers got individual titles from Ivan Lopez (152 pounds), Wes Brown (160), Derrick Maisonet (220) and Junior Nunez (285).

Class 2A Pontiac Regional — Yorkville captured the team title with 172.5 points, while Sandwich was third (139 points). Bobby Schillinger won an individual crown at 182 pounds for the Foxes. The Indians had three individual winners — Dan Emma (113 pounds), Jarrod Johnson (145) and Rigo Fraire (152).

Girls bowling

Plainfield North Sectional — Oswego East (6,582 pins) advanced to state by winning the team title. Waubonsie Valley (6,530) also advanced by taking second. Oswego East’s Giselle Poss (1,444) won the individual crown, edging Waubonsie’s Julie Bond (1,440).

Men’s basketball

Lakeland 99, Aurora 94 (OT) — Kalmon Stokes had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans (16-6, 11-2). Scott Laskowski added 18 points.

Women’s basketball

Lakeland 65, Aurora 52 — Shay Jenkins and Bethany Dorrington scored 13 points each for the Spartans (7-15, 4-10).
