Boys basketball
Plano 58, Dwight 51 (OT) — Plano (12-6) advanced to the quarterfinals of the I-8 Tournament with the victory. The Reapers play Herscher Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Reed-Custer. Friday night Plano was led by Elijah Wallace with 13 points, Cody Dryden with 12 and Collin Seyller with 10.
Girls basketball
Rockford Christian Life 47, Mooseheart 12 — Rockford Christian Life held a 39-7 halftime lead and coasted to the win in the second half. U-Conjay Nelson led Mooseheart with seven points, scoring all five of the Lady Ramblers’ second half points.
Oswego 65, Plainfield North 47 — Oswego (10-8, 5-4 Southwest Prairie) got balanced scoring with five players in double figures — Siarra O’Neill with 13 points, Kelsey Nelson and Jordan Campbell with 12 each, Amri Wilder with 11 and Krissy Klingbeil with 10.
Somonauk 38, Paw Paw 37 — Somonauk’s Emily Clark sank the winning free throw with no time left on the clock. Somonauk (12-11, 4-3) was led by Allison Humes, who had 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Marmion 30, Buchanan 18 — Posting victories for the Cadets were Johnny Jimenez (120 pounds), Jake Field (126), George Fisher (132), Matt Gerraro (138), Trace Carrello (145), Riley DeMoss (152), Nate Traxler (182), Cody Snodgrass (195) and Alex Fritz (285).
