Boys basketball

Newark 57, Leland-Earlville 26 — Brett Anderson had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Norsemen. Jack Clausel went 10-for-11 at the foul line and finished with 14 points.

Paw Paw 63, Somonauk 58 — John Wathen totaled 16 points for the Bobcats (6-12, 1-4). Reece Bode added 14 points and eight rebounds.

Seneca 58, Sandwich 35 — Jake Roehn led the Indians with 12 points.

Plano 48, Westmont 45 — Elijah Wallace paced the Reapers (11-6, 3-1) with 16 points. Cody Dryden chipped in 12 points.

Hinckley-Big Rock 64, Indian Creek 60 — Zach Michels scored 18 points for the Royals (15-3, 4-0). Michael Bayler totaled 15 points.

Girls basketball

Indian Creek 48, Somonauk 45 (OT) — The Timberwolves advanced to the championship game of the Little Ten Tournament behind 13 points from Samantha Mosley and 12 points from Kate Thuestad. For Somonauk, Allison Humes had 19 points.

Newark 57, LaMoille 30 — Taylor Krug scored 15 points to lead the Norsemen to a semifinal win at the Little Ten Tournament.

Kaneland 65, Morris 32 — Allyson O’Herron totaled 21 points and five steals to pace the Knights (12-7, 4-3). Brooke Harner added 13 points.

DeKalb 48, Yorkville 35 — Mackenzie Bollinger scored 10 points for the Foxes (12-4, 4-2).

Metea Valley 62, Lake Park 58 — Bria Walker led the Mustangs (17-4, 7-2) with 17 points and six assists.

Romeoville 51, Oswego East 42

Wrestling

Oswego East 39, Romeoville 22 — Andrew Chastain (152 pounds), Tim Iannantone (160), Zach Prinz (170) and Ryan Ingalls (220) won by pin to lead the Wolves (10-16, 2-4).

Girls bowling

Oswego 2,904, Romeoville 2,549 — Cheyanne Valdez rolled a 264 game and a 667 series to lead the Panthers. Rachael Tackitt added a 631 series.

IMSA 2,183, Westminster Christian 1,869 – Vivian Chau had a 564 series for the Titans (3-5).

Rochelle 2,715, Kaneland 2,688 — Morgan Wojciechowski led the Knights with a 482 series.

Men’s basketball

Waubonsee 75, Prairie State 52 — D.J. Vaughn hit five threes and totaled 22 points for the Chiefs (11-5, 2-0). Marcus Franklin tallied 14 points and nine rebounds.

Women’s basketball

Prairie State 62, Waubonsee 49 — Tesa Alderman had a game-high 21 points for the Chiefs (7-10). Samantha Alvis chipped in 12 points.
