Aurora Christian 94, Mendota 83 — Cory Windle poured in 31 points for the Eagles, who shot 67 percent from the floor and reached the quarterfinals at Plano. Ryan McQuade added 20 points. Haydn McNelis and Ryan Suttle scored 13 points each.
Batavia 50, Harlan 36 — Micah Coffey scored 21 points as Batavia won its opener at the Elgin Holiday Tournament.
Hinckley-Big Rock 88, Wilmington 64 — Bernie Conley led the Royals with 26 points, while Jared Madden added 25 as H-BR made 60 percent of its shots and advanced to the quarterfinals at Plano.
Burlington Central 65, Sandwich 41 — The Indians were outscored 15-4 in a decisive third quarter at the Plano Christmas Classic. Jake Roehn led Sandwich with nine points and four rebounds.
Morris 61, Indian Creek 60 — Garrison Govig scored 27 points to lead the Timberwolves, who lost at Plano. Jaron Todd hit seven threes and totaled 23 points.
Seneca 47, Plano 38 — The Reapers rallied to within five points afer trailing by 18 but could get no closer. Cory Dryden led Plano with 12 points.
Princeton 57, Somonauk 42 — John Wathen tallied 15 points for the Bobcats in a loss at Plano.
Willowbrook 51, West Aurora 44 — The Blackhawks dropped their opener at the Wheaton North Classic.
East Aurora 46, Addison Trail 41 — Tyshee Towner’s 25 points, 10 rebounds and five steals led the Tomcats to a win at Oswego East. Desiree Rhodes added 10 points.
Aurora Central 69, Plainfield Central 39 — Alex DeCraene scored 17 points to lead the Chargers at Oswego East. Kalie Soris (15 points), Lisa Rodriguez (14) and Alex Horton (10) also reached double figures.
Batavia 70, Bogan 51 — The Bulldogs (11-5) won their opener at the Montini Tournament behind 20 points from Liza Fruendt, 15 points from Hannah Frazier and 12 points from Miranda Grizaffi.
Indian Creek 52, Somonauk 33 — The Timberwolves picked up a victory at the Amboy Tournament. Natalie Rabe led the Bobcats (7-7) with nine points.
Glenbrook South 56, Waubonsie Valley 12 — The Warriors struggled against the top seed at the Wheaton North Classic.
Newark 62, Reed-Custer 43 — The Norsemen earned a victory in their tournament opener at Lisle.
