Aurora Christian 63, Streator 54 — Ryan Suttle scored 21 points to lead the Eagles to an opening-round win in the 50th Plano Christmas Classic.
The Eagles trailed 41-40 in the third quarter but went on a 12-3 run to take control. ACS, which got 12 points from Cory Windle and 11 from Hayden McNelis, salted the game away by making 8 of 11 free throws in the final 2:09.
Ottawa 93, Somonauk 64 — John Wathen had a game-high 18 points and Daniel Riess added 15 for the Bobcats, who trailed 29-17 after one quarter and 56-38 at the break. Somonauk was also hurt by 18 turnovers.
Twelve of 13 Pirate players who saw action scored in the game, led by 15 each from John Carroll and Nick Harsted.
Plano 50, Princeton 42 — Junior guard Elijah Wallace and senior forward Cory Dryden each scored 14 points to lead the Reapers, who led by as many as 15 points but had to hold on in the final minute, when Princeton closed within four at 46-42.
Oswego East finishes 1-2 at Downers Grove South Quad – Andrew Chastain (152 pounds), Zach Prinz (170 pounds) and Mike Chavez (220 pounds) all finished 3-0 for the Wolves.

Pontiac 43, Kaneland 39 – Ashley Prost led the way for the Knights with a team-high 10 points while both Marina Schaeffer and Aly O’Herron chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.
Yorkville 39, Geneseo 29 – Mackenzie Bollinger scored a team-high 14 points for the Foxes while Lindsey Schlichting chipped in with nine points for Yorkville.
