Boys basketball

West Aurora 59, Rock Island 57 — Jontrel Walker scored 30 points as the Blackhawks finished 3-1 at the Rock Island Tournament.

Plainfield East 72, East Aurora 65 — The Tomcats dropped the seventh place game at the St. Charles East Tournament.

Indian Creek 51, Westminster Christian 41 — Garrison Govig scored 12 points as the Timberwolves placed third at the Westminster Tournament.

Mooseheart 50, Springfield 37 — Makur Puou finished with 21 points, 21 rebounds and seven blocks for the Ramblers, who took fifth at the Washington Tournament.

Aurora Central 72, Rich South 67 (OT) — Phil Schuetz (23 points) and Anthony Andujar (17 points) led the Chargers to a third-place finish at the Joliet West Tournament.

Yorkville 62, Pontiac 41 — Taylor Carter scored 17 points as the Foxes took third at Ottawa.

St. Francis 63, Kaneland 50 — The Knights were led John Pruett’s game-high 20 points.

Girls basketball

Oswego East 49, Bartlett 41 — Venita Parsons scored 16 points and Toni Robinson added 15 for the Wolves.

Batavia 76, Normal Community 42 — The Bulldogs finished with six scorers in double-digits. Leading the way was Miranda Grizaffi with a team-high 14 points.

Batavia 71, Moline 45 — The Bulldogs were led by Liza Fruendt’s team-high 23 points. Also scoring in double-digits for Batavia were Hannah Frazier (12 points), Erin Bayram (11 points) and Miranda Grizaffi (11 points).

Naperville Central 64, Metea Valley 54 — Lori Obendorf led the way for the Mustangs with a team-high 17 points and 15 rebounds.

DeKalb 35, Oswego 27

Men’s basketball

Aurora 88, Iowa Wesleyan 82 — The Spartans improved to 1-3 behind Scott Laskowski and Marious Lobdell’s 20-point efforts.

Wrestling

Oswego East goes 3-2 at Jacobs Mega Duals — Heavyweight Steve McMahon went 2-0 on the afternoon with two pins for the Wolves. Joey Torres (182 pounds) and Dan Moran (195 pounds) went 4-1 on the day for Oswego East.
