West Aurora 63, Chicago Bogan 49 — Jontrel Walker led the way for the Blackhawks at the Rock Island tournament with 13 points. Also in double figures for West were Roland Griffin with 12, and Josh McAuley and Jayquan Lee, with 10 apiece. In the evening contest at the tournament, the Blackhawks lost to Rock Island 65-62. Walker led the way for West with 29 points.
Metea Valley 73, Oswego East 52 — Leading the Mustangs in double figures were in the Hoops for Healing Tournament contest were Travond Taylor with 14 points, Nick Dodson with 11 and Sean Davis with 10. Kendall Dorsey led the Wolves with 13 points, and Houston McCullum had 10.
Aurora Central Catholic 83, Thornridge 58 — Aurora Central (2-1) was led by Phil Schuetz with 21 points. Shawn Soris chipped in with 16 points for the Chargers.
Somonauk 68, Reed-Custer 56 — Dan Reiss led the way Somonauk with 19 points and 11 rebounds during the win at the Seneca Tournament. Also in double figures for the Bobcats (2-1) were John Wathan (16 points), Reece Bode (12) and Scott Thomas (10).
Tri-Point 65, Serena 60 — Thomas Bailey scored 17 points to lead the Serena scoring.
Seneca 58, Hinckley-Big Rock 50 — H-BR’s scoring leaders were Bernie Conley with 14 points and Mitch Ruh with 10. H-BR plays Saturday 6 p.m. against Somonauk for third place at the Seneca tournament.
Yorkville 49, Marengo 33 — Josh Bondurant scored 10 points to lead the scoring for the Foxes (2-1) at the Ottawa tournament. Yorkville plays Saturday at 6 p.m. in the third-place game.
Kaneland 33, Immaculate Conception 27 — The Knights repeated as title winners at the Immaculate Conception tournament with the win. Emma Bradford led the way with 11 points and four rebounds for Kaneland.
Benet 65, Metea Valley 53 — Nia Flowers led the Mustangs with 19 points, while Lori Obendorf pulled down 13 rebounds. The Mustangs play Naperville Central at 6 p.m. Saturday on Central’s home floor.
Rockford Auburn 50, Oswego East 40 — Venita Parsons and Sonja Lewis each had 10 points for the Wolves.
Neuqua Valley 45, Geneva 22
Hinsdale South Invite — Oswego finished fourth with 131.325 points and the Waubonsie-Metea Valley Co-op took sixth (128.825) in the eight-team meet. Waubonsie-Metea’s Jessica Malon finished sixth in the all-around with an 8.7688 average score. Oswego had two gymnast in the all-around’s top ten Emily Flammersfeld (7th, 8.6438) and Kathryn Maher (10th, 8.2063).
