Girls volleyball

West Aurora d. West Chicago 25-13, 25-14 — The Blackhawks (29-5, 12-1) got seven kills and seven assists from Lauren Carlini and seven assists from Elli Martin. With Naperville Central’s loss to Naperville North on Tuesday, West takes sole possession of first place in the DuPage Valley Conference and can clinch the title with a win at home Thursday against Glenbard East. Oswego East d. Plainfield South 25-8, 25-10

— Kelly Bertrand led the Wolves with eight digs and four kills. Brittany Warnecke added seven digs, four aces and two kills.

Neuqua Valley d. East Aurora 25-6, 25-14 — Brooke Antenen had 11 assists and five kills for the Wildcats (17-18, 5-1).

Plainfield North d. Oswego 25-16, 15-25, 25-21 — Jessica Johnson totaled 23 assists, five kills and two blocks for the Panthers. Katelyn Burke added 15 assists, six digs, five kills and two aces.

Lisle d. Sandwich 25-8, 25-16 — Ashley Jones led the Indians with 11 digs.

Kaneland d. Rochelle 25-16, 25-14 — Shayna Tucek had 16 digs for the Knights (17-10, 5-4). Lyndi Scholl added nine digs and seven kills.

Batavia d. Elgin 25-15, 25-17 — Shea Stanley led the Bulldogs (18-16) with 10 kills. Audrey Faulhaber added 14 assists and six digs.

Somonauk d. Earlville-Leland 25-10, 25-19 — Allison Humes had nine kills and three aces for the Bobcats (15-11). Payton Orzech dished out 10 assists.

Seneca d. Plano 25-4, 25-15 — Clarisa Martinez totaled seven kills and two blocks for the Reapers.

Yorkville d. DeKalb 18-25, 25-18, 25-23 — Rebecca Nauman dished out 14 assists for the Foxes (18-6, 7-2). Julia Craig added 11 kills.

Newark d. Indian Creek 25-17, 20-25, 25-17 — Kristine Nichols totaled 15 digs and 10 kills for the Norsemen (26-4-1, 8-0). Lauren Tollefson dished out 30 assists in the win. Dallas Boehne had 20 assists and seven points for the Timberwolves (14-12, 4-4). Kate Thuestad added 14 kills and 11 digs.

Geneva d. St. Charles East 25-27, 29-27, 25-20 — Hannah Buck had 20 digs and 10 kills as the Vikings captured the UEC River Division championship. Kelly Dalheim chipped in 34 digs.

South Elgin d. Waubonsie Valley 25-22, 14-25, 25-19

Boys soccer

Hinckley-Big Rock 7, Princeton 1 — The Royals (20-4) advanced to the championship of the Class 1A Mendota Sectional with the win. Bernie Conley scored three goals and Billy Weissinger added a goal and two assists.

Women’s volleyball

Aurora d. Alverno 25-12, 25-23, 25-12 — Lexi O’Boyle led the Spartans (9-16, 5-5) with 22 assists and eight digs. Brittany Budimier added 10 kills.

Men’s soccer

Aurora 2, Benedictine 0 — Colby Newquist and Jason O’Brien scored for the Spartans (10-4-1, 6-2-1).
