A 25-year-old caregiver from Aurora is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from the elderly west suburban resident who employed her. On April 9, Lenise K. English of 403 E. Indian Trail in Aurora, was charged with financial exploitation of the elderly and aggravated identity theft. English allegedly used a Hinsdale resident’s credit card to buy household goods, clothing and other items, totaling more than $10,000, between June 1 and Oct. 1, 2013. A West Chicago man was charged with drunken driving early Wednesday morning after Aurora police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car. Aurora police were called to the 200 block of South Calumet Avenue around 2:15 a.m. for reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been parked on the wrong side of the street, and had been running for 45 minutes. A Yorkville man, who police said pointed a pellet gun at another driver during a Monday morning road rage incident, is facing aggravated assault charges. Montgomery police said the driver, Rick Fermazin, 47, 600 block of Tower Lane, was involved in the altercation around 10:08 a.m. Monday near Route 30 and Orchard Road. A routine traffic stop ended in a major cocaine bust for Kane County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday afternoon. A Minnesota man was stopped for speeding at around 12:15 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 90 near Route 31 and was found with approximately six kilograms of cocaine in his vehicle. While talking to the driver, Rogelio Silva-Andrade, 29, the deputy called for a canine unit to respond to the scene. The drug-sniffing dog hit on the car, indicating the presence of drugs. A two-day, undercover prostitution sting ended with the arrest of nine people in Aurora. Members of the Aurora Police Department Special Operations Group, department investigators and patrol officers conducted the sting at a West Side location, and targeted websites that are commonly known to advertise and solicit prostitution, police said. An Aurora man died Sunday when the ATV he was riding flipped over in Big Rock Township. Christopher Harner, 44, of the 1700 block of Garfield in Aurora, was riding an ATV at about 5 p.m. Sunday on the 45W900 block of Scott Road in Big Rock Township when the vehicle struck a culvert. This caused the ATV to roll over, causing Harner to fall to the ground, police said. He was taken to Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, where he was pronounced dead.
