Kendall County sheriff’s deputies conducting a traffic stop near Oswego got a surprise early Thursday — the driver was a 13-year-old girl.
Deputies stopped the vehicle about 1:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Saugatuck Road in unincorporated Oswego Township and found the driver was a 13-year-old Aurora girl, according to a Kendall County sheriff’s report.
The deputies also found a 14-year-old Montgomery girl and 14-year-old Aurora boy in the car, sheriff’s police said.
All three were taken into custody for curfew violations, and the driver was also charged with driving without a valid license and operating a vehicle with expired plates and no rear plate light, according to sheriff’s police.
The 13-year-old girl was released to her parents on a $150 bond, sheriff’s police said. The other two juveniles were released to their parents with no bond.
