Autopsy results pending on woman found dead in truck

The Kane County Coroner’s Office is awaiting test results before ruling on the cause of death for a woman whose body was found in a pickup truck on Aurora’s near East Side.
The coroner’s office Friday morning performed an autopsy on Abigail Sanchez, 35, of the 800 block of North Gladstone Avenue in Aurora.
Sanchez was found dead in her boyfriend’s truck Wednesday afternoon in the 600 block of Front and Union streets.
The coroner’s office said toxicology samples were sent to a forensics lab.

Douglas D. Vaughn, 45, of Keenes, Ill., was charged with felony manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance, and felony possession of a controlled substance at 2:20 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of High Street, police said. Police said officers confiscated bags of marijuana, cocaine, Sudaphed and coffee grounds after a traffic stop in which another man was charged with traffic violations.
A computer and two flat-screen televisions, valued at $2,300, were stolen between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 500 block of South Union Street, police said.
Employees reported that two women stole gift cards valued at $2,600 at 5:17 p.m. Thursday from a store in the 4300 block of Fox Valley Drive, police said.
Ricardo Garcia-Pimentel, of the 600 block of South Union Street, Aurora, was taken to Presence Mercy Medical Center at 8:29 a.m. Thursday after a two-car accident at Lake and Prairie streets. Mikki S. Robinson, of the 900 block of Honeysuckle Lane, Aurora, was charged with disobeying a traffic signal in the collision, police said.
A purse and wallet containing $400 cash and other items was stolen from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church after a man entered the church during Mass around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Eduardo L. Rocha, 24, of the 400 block of South Fourth Street, Aurora, was charged with felony resisting a police officer at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Fifth Street, police said.
Three people were injured late Thursday night in a crash at Somonauk and Hidden Oaks Road in DeKalb County, the sheriff’s office said. A witness told police that a vehicle driven by Howard C. Larson, of the 13500 block of Bastian Road in Hinckley, crossed the centerline on Somonauk Road at about 11:14 p.m. and struck the rear of a tandem trailer, then crashed into a third vehicle head-on. Larson, 94, was taken to Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit head-on — Ed White, 48, of the 1400 block of Suydam Road in Sandwich — was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. White’s passenger, Gloria White, 54, of the same address, was taken to Valley West, police said.
Miranda M. Grocesley, 21, of the 300 block of Old Indian Trail, Aurora, and Cornelius D. McCrary, 19, of the 1300 block of South Ada Street, Chicago, were each charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft in an incident at a store in the Geneva Commons on Randall Road at Williamsburg Avenue, Geneva police said. Police said McCrary went into the store’s back room while a store clerk was distracted and stole personal possessions from an employee’s purse. The pair was stopped by Geneva police after they left the shopping center.
A 60-year-old man reported between 12:45 and 1 p.m. Wednesday, an assortment of power tools with a total estimated value of $250 went missing from his house on the 200 block of Stillwater Court, after members of a professional moving crew left his home.
A 15-year-old boy reported unspecified belongings were stolen about 7:30 a.m. Thursday from a locker inside Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road.
Between 5 and 5:15 p.m. Thursday, police took reports of two counterfeit $20 bills being passed at Portillo’s Hot Dogs, 2810 Route 34; and three counterfeit $20 bills being passed at the Circle K service station, 1190 Route 34.
A 17-year-old girl from Montgomery was charged Friday as a juvenile in a $700 theft from Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71.
Dorothy M. Wenger, 60, of the 0-99 block of Ridgefield Road, Montgomery, was taken at 2:10 p.m. Friday to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora for treatment of a minor injury, following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Stoneleigh Lane and Pearces Ford. Kevin C. Russell, 44, of the 12000 block of Fallon Lane, Plainfield, was charged with failure to yield at a “stop” intersection.
David C. Pacyga, 39, of the 0-99 block of Cebold Drive, Montgomery, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after being stopped about 8:28 p.m. Friday near Northampton and Brockway drives.
Ryan A. Uher, 27, of the 4000 block of Dobbins Street, Plano, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Nottingham Lane and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
John P. Parker, 20, of Sandwich, was charged twice with criminal trespass to state-supported property after he was observed Tuesday and Thursday on the property of Sandwich High School, police said. Parker had been notified earlier that he was not allowed on school property, police said.
A diamond-and-sapphire ring valued at $4,200 was stolen between Jan. 25 and Thursday from a home in the 1200 block of Deerpath Drive, police said.
