Police seek information on Newark soccer field vandals

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is hoping someone can provide information about who damaged a soccer field at Newark High School, 413 Chicago Road last month.
The field was vandalized when someone drove across it, cutting deep ruts into the grass between 3 p.m. Aug. 30 and 10 a.m. Aug. 31, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office is asking people to come forward with information. Anyone with information is asked to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999.
Aurora
Isidro Lazcano, 34, 500 block of Gates Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, no driver’s license, no insurance, failure to reduce speed and improper lane use at 1:32 a.m. Thursday near East Downer Place and Jackson Place, police said.
Edgar Navarrete, 38, 200 block of Shiller Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a fraudulent ID as well as misdemeanors failure to signal, no valid driver’s license and suspended registration at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Batavia
Steven Allen, 60, 1100 block of West Wilson Street, Batavia, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane use Sept. 11 at Western Avenue and Navajo Drive, police said.
Mark Lindborg, 40, 44W000 block of Indian Creek Trail, Batavia, was charged with drunken driving, speeding, driving too fast for conditions, failure to signal and having no insurance Sept. 10 in the 100 block of S. Deerpath Road, police said.
