Man’s report of stolen wallet in Newark helps Kendall deputies connect him to charge of theft

Kendall County sheriff’s deputies were called to Newark Grade school at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday to investigate the theft of a wallet and cigarettes, only to end up charging the man making up the complaint.
David Lullie, 24, of Elgin, called to report the alleged theft, but was found to have made the complaint to cover the fact that he had stolen numerous rolls of wire from his employer while working at the school at 503 Chicago Road. Deputies charged Lullie with theft and disorderly conduct.
Three vehicles were involved in a crash with possible injuries that occurred at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday near Hill Avenue and Fifth avenues, police said. Maria Ibarra, no age or address released, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having no driver’s license, police said. Police would not release further information.
Samantha Gonzales, no age or address released, was charged with improper turn and no valid license at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday after a traffic crash with injuries near Galena Boulevard and Locust Street, police said. Police would not release further information.
Thomas E. Porch Jr., 45, of the 39W000 block of Osage Drive, Campton Hills, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and driving an uninsured vehicle at 1:14 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of South Peck Road, police said.
Rickie A. Thomas, 51, of the 700 block of East State Street, Geneva, was charged with drunken driving, driving without lights and driving without insurance Saturday in the 200 block of Hamilton Street, police said.
A 2001 Infiniti was stolen Saturday from a parking lot in the 0-99 block of South Fourth Street, police said. The theft occurred between 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. The owner told police he was not sure if he locked the vehicle.
Guitars and music equipment valued at $1,500 were stolen last week from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 800 block of Cheever Avenue, Geneva police said.
Timothy Bargoine, 35, of the 100 block of Circle Drive West in Boulder Hill, was charged with drunken driving and reckless driving at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Kendall Point Drive, police said.
Delana Benson, 47, 700 block of Fourth Street, Sandwich, was charged with drunken driving at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday near Rock and Bill streets, police said.
