Candy concoction stuffed into car’s gas tank

About $1,100 damage was done when someone scratched and shoved caramel, chocolate and sugar into the gas tank of a car in the 1200 block of Nantucket Drive between 7 and 10 a.m. Friday, Aurora police said.

Mona Harris, 49, 0-99 block of Springdale Road, Montgomery, was injured after she hit three parked cars at 11:55 p.m. Saturday near Lincoln and Marson avenues, police said. Harris drove past a dead end street, through some grass and into the intersection, police said. She was charged with drunken driving, driving on a sidewalk and failure to reduce speed, police said. No condition report was available.

Alvaro Morales, 28, 900 block of Second Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to signal, expired registration, suspended license and illegal transportation of liquor at 12:11 a.m. Sunday near Garfield Avenue and Downer Place, police said.

About $20,000 worth of gold jewelry was stolen from a home in the 1400 block of Monarch Circle between 9:50 and 11:15 a.m. Friday, police said.

Sandra Delgado, 43, 1000 block of Angelica Circle, Joliet, was charged with misdemeanor prostitution at 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of West Sullivan Road, police said.

Nicholas Yacoub, 29, 1300 block of Golfview Street, Aurora, was charged with felony theft by deception and misdemeanor battery at 6:05 p.m. Saturday in the 0-99 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said.

Michael Johnson, 39, 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was charged with felony theft at 6 p.m. Saturday near Sunset Avenue and Wilder Street, police said.

Rosa Burns, 21, 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was charged with felony robbery at 2:10 a.m. Sunday near Root and New York streets, police said.

Jose Aguilar, 30, 500 block of Simms Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane use, marijuana possession and suspended license at 2:14 a.m. Saturday near Simms and Jackson streets, police said.

Adan Elizondo, 26, 1100 block of Lafayette Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance, marijuana possession and disregarding a traffic signal at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 0-99 block of South Broadway, police said.

Robert Gant Jr., 37, 700 block of Huntington Drive, Aurora, was charged with felony robbery last week in the 0-99 block of South Root Street, police said.

Gregg Tannenbaum, 54, 0-99 block of West John Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor failure to signal last week near Sullivan Road and Aurora Avenue, police said.

Benahdam Hurt, 38, 400 block of North Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felonies delivery of a controlled substance near a park, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance last week in the 400 block of North Avenue, police said.

Willis Mitchell, 28, 100 block of South LaSalle Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance as well as misdemeanors revoked license and following too closely last week in the 900 block of Autumn Lane, police said.

Edgar Ortiz, 17, 100 block of North Fourth Street, Aurora, was charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor resisting arrest last week in the 600 block of Monroe Street, police said.

Kenard Ford, 25, 600 block of East Downer Place, Aurora, was charged with felony delivery of 10 to 30 grams of marijuana at 4:39 a.m. Friday near Farnsworth Avenue and Marshall Boulevard, police said.

Osveli Sanchez, 46, 3400 block of Toledo Terrace, Hyattsville, Md., was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East New York Street, police said.

Ricardo Magana, 19, 600 block of Pierce Street, Aurora, was charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor unlawful contact with a gang member Friday in the 600 block of Pierce Street, police said.

Montgomery

Erik Brown, 33, 6700 block of Sundown Drive, Yorkville, was charged with driving under the influence after he hit a curb at 12:25 a.m. Saturday near Mill and River streets, police said.

Doritza Faxon, 28, 200 block of Pine Ridge Lane, Montgomery, was charged with driving under the influence Saturday near Route 30 and Horseman Trail, police said.

Rosemary Deschryver, 53, 39W000 block of Hyde Park, Geneva, was charged with driving under the influence and resisting a peace officer after trying to shove officers during a traffic stop 12:40 a.m. Monday near Orchard and Galena roads, police said.
