Woman with knife charged in her Plano driveway

A Plano woman was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault at 2 p.m. Thursday at her home, Plano police said.
Police responded to the 0-99 block of North Kidder Street after receiving a call about a woman with a knife. Officers said they found Susan Moss, 53, standing in the driveway with a knife with an 8-inch blade in her back pocket.
Moss allegedly waved the knife at a family member and made threats toward the victim, police said.
Aurora
There may have been injuries in a two-car accident at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at Hill and Fifth avenues. Susan D. Cardoza was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a rear-end collision with another vehicle. Aurora police did not release Cardoza’s age or address, or provide other information.
Someone may have been injured in a three-car accident around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at East New York Street and Route 59. According to police, no one was charged in the crash. Police would not release other information.
Copper coils and piping valued at $3,000 were stolen from a vacant home in the 900 block of Fifth Avenue between Dec. 14 and Jan. 4. According to police, the door was locked and there was no sign of forced entry, but multiple companies providing service to the home have keys.
Several watches and pieces of jewelry valued at $6,839 were stolen in a burglary to a home in the 1100 block of Middlebury Lane, police said.
Jewelry, a laptop and a cellphone, worth $3,720, were stolen between noon and 3 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue. According to police, a back door had been forced open, and neighbors saw an unfamiliar teenager riding his bike in front of the house around the time of the break-in.
Charles K. Thompson, 59, of the 600 block of South River Street, was charged with felony property damage at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at Route 59 and McCoy Drive, police said.
John R. Boland, 41, of the 1000 block of Charles Street, was charged with aggravated battery, a felony, and misdemeanor battery at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday at his home, police said.
Yorkville
Ann Hagemann, 88, 1400 block of Eldamain Road, Plano, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center at 10:50 a.m. Thursday after she was involved in a traffic accident in the 600 block of East Countryside Parkway, police said. Police said Hagemann’s vehicle struck a building while she was pulling into a parking spot. A condition report was not available.
Cash, a flat-screen television, a fire safe and other items were stolen at about 4 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 100 block of Sunset Avenue, police said.
Kendall County
A Lombard man reported several items stolen Wednesday from a truck that was being stored at Public Storage, 184 Route 30, in Oswego Township. Hand tools, generators and air compressors were taken, police said.
