Student charged in school bus pot bust

A St. Charles East High School student was arrested Wednesday after being caught delivering marijuana to another student on a school bus, police said. The 16-year-old was taken into police custody without incident after the bus arrived at the high school Wednesday morning. Three small bags of marijuana were seized as evidence, police said. The student, who is not named because of his age, is charged with delivery of marijuana on school grounds.


Joslyn Kunold, 42, 0-99 block of South Root Street, Aurora, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for treatment of injuries following a traffic crash at 8:11 p.m. Wednesday near Douglas Road and Route 34, police said. Police said the other driver in the crash was John Russel, 18, of the 1600 block of McDowell Avenue, Aurora. No further information was available.


A computer worth $1,100 was stolen between 8:50 and 11:15 a.m. Friday from a teacher’s work room at East Aurora High School, police said.

Someone broke into a home in the 400 block of Grove Street between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and stole cash and a television, police said. Total loss was set at $2,400.

Adolfo Bolans was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving with no insurance after he was involved in a crash with possible injuries at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday near North Eola Road and Bilter Road, police said. Police said Bolans’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Shawn Flaherty. Police did not release the age or address of either driver.
