Drug charges result after traffic stop

Gregorio Garcia, 30, 1200 block of West South Street, Plano, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disregarding a stop sign, and not having his driver’s license on him at the time of his stop at 7:16 p.m. Saturday near Fifth Street and Simms Street, police said.

Gustavo Vazquez, 18, 2800 block of Diane Drive, Aurora, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and curfew violation at 12:40 a.m. Sunday near South Commons Drive and Ogden Avenue, police said.

Adrian Barraza, 25, 800 block of Gillette Avenue, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence, disregarding a stop sign, and illegal transportation of liquor at 1:59 a.m. Sunday near North View Street and Plum Street, police said.

Tanika Young, 1600 block of North East Drive, Aurora, was injured in a two-car crash at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday near East Benton Street and South Fourth Street, police said. Young, who is seven-months pregnant, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Maria Rogel, 100 block of North State Street, Aurora, was charged with having no license and for failure to yield.
