Rare coins, worth $18,640, stolen from Aurora house

An Aurora man reported that rare coins, worth $18,640, went missing from his home sometime between Sept. 1 and Monday, police said.
The victim said that the rare coins were mixed with non-valuable coins, and that whoever took them was aware of which ones were of value. He told police that he has been collecting the coins since the 1960s.
One coin, a Benjamin Franklin Full Bell 50-cent piece, was valued at $10,000, he told police.
Power tools, worth $2,500, were taken sometime between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Monday from a construction site in the 1000 block of North Route 59, police said. Someone apparently pried open a padlocked tool box in order to steal the items.
Gerardo Nevarz, 42, 200 block of Fernwood Road, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to yield and no insurance at 8:32 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Chanika Ingram, 23, 400 block of North River Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, possession of marijuana, speeding and failure to signal at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Galena Boulevard, police said.
Cynthia Reed, 48, 200 block of Williams Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, and disobeying a traffic control device at 6:10 a.m. Saturday near North River Street and Cedar Street, police said.
Sean Finneran, 23, 100 block of Lakeshore Drive, Oswego, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana at 4:50 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Morton Avenue, police said.
Teddy Hernandez, 38, 600 block of Aurora Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony driving on a suspended license, driving on an unsafe tire, improper registration, reckless driving, and no proof of insurance at 5:50 p.m. Saturday near East Illinois Avenue and North Broadway, police said.
Patricia Gonzalez, 31, 200 block of North Highland Avenue, Aurora, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:07 p.m. Saturday in the 0-99 block of Smith Street, police said. Police said an employee of a nearby business called police after they noticed Gonzalez parked in the parking lot acting suspiciously.
Someone smashed a sliding glass door, causing $1,000 in damages, sometime between Sept. 29 and Sunday at a home in the 3100 block of Anton Drive, police said.
Luis Valle Jr., 20, 100 block of Hillstone Drive in Boulder Hill, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:35 p.m. Saturday near River Street and Watkins Avenue, police said.
Someone stole 65 treated decking boards, worth $4,100, sometime between Oct. 5 and Monday from outside a business in the 1700 block of Albright Road, police said.
