The driver a car was not injured after losing control and crashing into an utility pole on Walker Road just east of Ashley Road in Kendall Township. Kendall County Sheriff’s police and the Bristol-Kendall Fire Department responded to the scene of the single vehicle crash about 7 a.m. on Thursday.
Many rural roads in the area were icy from light snow. A Kendall Township snow plow was called to the scene to try and remove some the ice and slush. Commonwealth Edison was also notified about the damaged pole. Although the utility pole was completely knocked over in the crash, the power lines remained intact.
