Man charged with DUI after hitting house, tree

An Aurora man found beside his car after an accident has been charged with multiple drunken driving counts, police said Tuesday.
Jose A. Blanco-Escobar, of the 700 block of East New York Street, was taken to an area hospital Friday after a single-car accident Friday in the 500 block of East Galena Boulevard, police said.
Witnesses told police they found Blanco-Escobar sitting next to his car after it veered off the road and struck a tree and a house.
Blanco-Escobar was charged with two counts of aggravated drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving on a suspended license and no insurance, police said.
Lizette I. Herrera, of the 500 block of Rosedale Avenue, Aurora, was taken to an area hospital after a two-car accident at 1:26 a.m. Monday at Hill Avenue and Montgomery Road, police said. No further information was released.
There were no injuries reported after a vehicle struck a school bus with 28 children on board at 2:45 p.m. Friday at Frontenac Street and St. Croix Court, police said. Kenneth L. Bray II was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after skidding on the pavement and striking the bus, police said. No further information was released.
Hector Nicasio-Correa, of Warrenville, was taken to Presence Mercy Medical Center after a two-car accident at 10:32 p.m. Sunday, police said. He was charged with driving too fast for conditions after skidding and striking another car, police said.
Vannessa M. Davis, 37, of the 7700 block of Madeline Drive, Yorkville, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after a two-car accident at 6:22 p.m. Sunday at Route 34 and Kendall Point Drive, police said. The crash was weather-related, and no tickets were issued, police said.
Police are investigating an incident of seven laptop computers reported missing Jan. 16 from the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway.
A back window was broken and three fishing poles and a snowboard were stolen between Jan. 17 and 18 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of West Jones Street, police said.
