A Glendale Heights man accused in a St. Charles armed robbery remains in Kane County Jail after a judge refused to lower his bail.
Antwon Powell, 32, was arrested in December after a palm print found inside a plastic cigar bag linked him to the May 19 robbery in a bank parking lot in the 1500 block of West Main Street in St. Charles.
Police previously said a 37-year-old man was approached by two men, one brandishing a gun in the parking lot. They took $140, a watch, an iPhone and a bag with cigars, according to court records.
Powell, whose bail was set at $500,000, has pending felony cases in DuPage County on forgery and identity theft charges. He has previous forgery and drug convictions from 2009, as well.
Powell is scheduled to return to court in Kane County on Feb. 13, records show.
