A 27-year-old Aurora man was treated at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora Friday night for a gunshot wound from a shooting near the 800 block of Claim Street, Aurora police said.
The victim had surgery and was admitted to the hospital, but his condition was unknown.
Officers who tried to question a man about the shooting wound up charging him Saturday night. Jonathon H. Hernandez, 16, of the 800 block of Kane Street, Aurora, was charged as an adult with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after he attempted to flee officers, police said.
Armando V. Salazar, 50, of the 700 block of East Galena Boulevard, Aurora, was charged last week with 12 counts of burglary and 13 counts of criminal damage to property. He was arrested at Broadway and Pierce Street, Aurora police said. He also was charged with one count of residential burglary and a count of theft.
Ramon R. Mendoza, 39, of the 400 block of West New York Street, Aurora, was charged last week with eight counts of burglary and eight counts of criminal damage to property after a traffic stop at Pierce Street and Lincoln Avenue, Aurora police said. He also was charged with theft, driving on a suspended license and failure to signal when required.
Derek A. Lowrance, 25, of the 2300 block of Georgetown Court, Aurora, was charged Saturday morning with aggravated domestic battery, criminal damage to property, two counts of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence at his home, Aurora police said.
Ervin B. Walton, 37, of the 1100 block of Summit Avenue, Aurora, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance in the 1200 block of East Indian Trail Road, Aurora police said.
Gerardo Guzman Jr., 17, of the 200 block of Schiller Street, Aurora, was charged Friday night with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and unlawful contact with a gang member in the 400 block of North River Street, Aurora police said.
Keyonn S. Lovelace, 17, of the 400 block of Spruce Street, Aurora, was charged Friday evening with possession of a stolen motor vehicle in the 600 block of North Harrison Avenue, Aurora police said.
Lauren E. Pollard, 30, of the 100 block of Brompton Lane, Sugar Grove, was charged Friday night with drunken driving in the 2900 block of Kirk Road, Aurora police said. She also was charged with endangering the life of a child.
Isidro Martinez-Barrios, 36, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, Naperville, was charged Sunday morning with drunken driving at Foxridge Court and Felten Road, Aurora police said. He also was charged with not having a valid drivers license.
Miguel M. Nocelotl, 29, of the 1300 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was charged Sunday morning with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of a property vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Superior Street, Aurora police said.
Someone stole $750 worth of sound equipment Friday from a car parked in the 1100 block of Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora police said. Police said there also was about $200 damage done to the car.
Someone Friday broke into a house on South Lincoln Avenue and stole $2,000 worth of copper tubing, which was cut out of the basemen of the house, Aurora police said.
Alicia Lopez-Jiminez, 51, of the 500 block of Trask Street, Aurora, was charged Saturday at her home with resisting and obstructing a police officer, aggravated battery against a peace officer and filing a false report to a public safety agency.
Oswego police are investigating an armed robbery at a Burger King restaurant in the 2300 block of Route 34. The suspect made off with about $1,000 in the robbery, which took place at midnight Saturday, police said. No one was injured. No further details were released by police.
More than $2,400 worth of perfume was stolen last week from a store in the 2500 block of Route 34, Oswego police said. Police said the thief was a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, with brown hair. She was wearing a black jacket, black pants and gym shoes.
Steven D. Kluber, 22, of the 700 block of Audrey Avenue, Aurora, was charged early Sunday morning with drunken driving and speeding at Route 34 and West Street, Plano police said.
Mary K. Carlson, 32, of the 1400 block of Plainfield Road, Oswego, was charged Saturday morning with drunken driving after deputies found her sleeping in her car at Plainfield and Collins Road, Oswego Township, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department said. She also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol.
