A Montgomery woman reported an intruder in her home in the early morning hours one day last week, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the woman said that around 1:50 a.m. on Jan. 10, a man who she did not know entered her residence uninvited. He then ran from the home, in the 0-99 block of Ridgefield Road, after the homeowner confronted him, deputies said.
A search for the man turned up empty, deputies said.
Todd W. Hilgen, of the 1300 block of Raymond Drive, Montgomery, was taken to Provena Mercy Medical Center after a three-car crash at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday at Route 31 and Gale Street, police said. Another driver, Robert S. Paye, of Carol Stream, was charged with failure to reduce speed after he rear-ended Hilgen, who was pushed into a third vehicle, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on a warrant Wednesday stemming from multiple crimes committed in the past several months, including theft, motor vehicle theft, burglary from a motor vehicle, underage drinking, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, Sandwich police said. The boy is already on probation for previous offenses from 2010, 2011 and 2012, police said.
The boy was arrested at his home in Sandwich and taken to the Kane County Youth Home, police said.
