Three people were charged Monday with reckless conduct in a BB gun incident that led to the lockdown of a Geneva grade school.
One person in a car fired several shots from a BB gun at another car at Routes 30 and 47 near Sugar Grove at 3:15 p.m. Monday, the Kane County sheriff’s office said.
Oswegoans Hector Rubio, 18, of the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway, and Michael Thompson, 20, of the 0-99 block of Oakwood Drive, and Elle Fowler, 18, of the 3100 block of Thunderbird Court, Aurora, face reckless conduct charges.
Police stopped their vehicle at Mill Creek Drive and Fabyan Parkway near Fabyan Elementary School in Geneva. Because of the nature of the call, the school was placed on lockdown until the incident was resolved.
Deputies recovered an air soft pistol that closely resembles a handgun, police said.
