Updated: February 16, 2013 6:20AM

GENEVA — Unclaimed funds totaling more than $770,000 are posted on the Kane County treasurer’s website, www.KaneCountyTreasurer.org.

These lists include funds unclaimed from the Kane Circuit Clerk’s Office, the Kane County Collector and the treasurer’s office. The total value now stands at $770,662, Treasurer David J. Rickert said.

Anyone who believes they have unclaimed funds held by the treasurer should follow instructions on the website, or visit the treasurer’s office for assistance. To collect unclaimed funds, a sworn statement must be signed in person and proof of identification must be presented.

For more information, contact the treasurer’s office at 630-232-3565.

The county treasurer holds unclaimed funds for seven years before transferring them to the state treasurer.
