American Idol’s Scotty McCreery making appearance at Paramount

AURORA — “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery, who has earned two gold records since taking home the season 10 title of the hit television show, will be appearing at the Paramount Theater on March 28.
Tim Rater, president and chief executive officer of the Paramount, announced McCreery’s show Wednesday afternoon, after promising for several month that a top-name artist would be coming to the Aurora stage.
McCreery had the highest selling country solo album of the year in 2011 with his debut album “Clear As Day,” which went platinum in just three months, selling more than a million copies. His first two hits went certified gold, his Christmas album went certified gold and he was named Country Music’s New Artist of the Year.
Advance tickets will go on sale to the Paramount’s Broadway Series subscribers and general subscribers at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 16. Tickets will only be available by calling the box office at 630-896-6666. The box office is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday to Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
