No injuries as car swerves across all lanes on Route 59

A Naperville woman drove across all lanes of Route 59 without major injury early Wednesday morning, according to Aurora police. Police said Lorraine Davies, 2200 block of Petworth Court, Naperville, lost control of her car after a tire blowout at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday on Route 59 near New York Street. She crossed six lanes of traffic and a median, then hit a utility box on the south side of the road, police said. She was talking and conscious after the crash, police said. A condition report was not available. No tickets were issued, police said.
Copper wire worth $1,400 was stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Aurora Avenue between 7 a.m. Dec. 28 and noon Wednesday, police said.
Cash, a computer, a video game system and jewelry, worth a total of $1,900, were stolen from a home in the 200 block of North Kendall Street, police said.
One person may have been injured in a two-car crash at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday near Sixth Avenue and Hinman Street, police said. Abran Ochoa, 700 block of Magnolia Street, Oswego, was charged with failure to reduce speed. The other driver was not ticketed. No further information was released.
About $4,000 worth of possessions were stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Route 34 between Dec. 24 and 10:52 p.m. Monday, police said.
