Aurora burglar splits with cash, three bowling balls and shoes

Someone broke into a car in the 1000 block of Terrace Lake Drive between 7 p.m. Dec. 26 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 27, Aurora police reported Wednesday. The burglar took cash, a driver’s license, three 14-pound bowling balls, a bowling bag and bowling shoes, police said. Total loss was $1,357, police said.
Brandon Valus, 19, 4100 block of Osborn Street, Plano, was charged with felony possession of an altered ID card at 7:47 p.m. Monday in the 0-99 block of New York Street, police said.
Carlos Lemos, 46, 100 block of Clark Street, Aurora, was charged with felony driving on a suspended license and misdemeanor no insurance at 2:35 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Bangs Street, police said.
A camera and four lenses, worth $4,810, were stolen from the 4000 block of Terrace Lake Drive sometime before 2 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
A TV, watch and checks, worth $1,800, were stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Grove Street between 5 p.m. Monday and 2:29 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Maricela Gaytan, 31, 200 block of South Highland Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft at 9 p.m. Saturday in the 0-99 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said.
Alfonso Jaquez, 65, 700 block of Fulton Street, Aurora, was charged with felony violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in his home, police said.
A 1998 silver Toyota 4Runner valued at $5,000 was stolen last week from the 300 block of West State Street, police said. The owner said he left the vehicle and had a friend drive him home because it would not start; when he returned the next day, it was missing.
