$3,240 in tools stolen from Yorkville Public Works site

About $3,240 worth of tools were stolen from the Yorkville Public Works Building, 610 Tower Lane, between Dec. 22 and Dec. 23, Yorkville police said Friday.
Aurora
A coat and set of keys worth $1,600 were stolen from a business in the 1900 block of Melissa Lane sometime before 6 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Two hundred feet of copper pipes and a water heater, worth $3,000, were stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Wilson Creek Circle between 1 p.m. Dec. 12 and 11:40 a.m. Thursday, police said.
About 200 feet of copper pipes worth $3,500 were stolen from a home in the 2600 block of Red Hawk Ridge Drive between 9 a.m. Dec. 13 and 11 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Oswego
Two people were injured in a two-car crash at 6:22 p.m. Thursday near Douglas Road and Route 34, police said. Driver Jennifer Cornele, 35, 1300 block of Manning Avenue, Montgomery, and driver Pamela Veith, 43, 2000 block of Canyon Creek Drive, Aurora, were both taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, but condition reports were not available, police said. Cornele was charged with failure to yield turning left, police said.
One person was injured in a two-car crash at 9:33 a.m. Thursday near Route 34 and Heritage Drive, police said. Barbara Neimeyer, 58, 500 block of Arrowhead Drive, Yorkville, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, but a condition report was not available. No tickets were issued, according to police.
Yorkville
Samir Mahafzah, 18, 2800 block of Gypsum Circle, Naperville, was charged with drunken driving, speeding, improper lane use and no insurance at 1:49 a.m. Friday near Routes 34 and 47, police said.
