The Oswego School Board is searching for a new member to temporarily fill the seat left open by former board member Lynn Cullick.
Cullick was seated to the Kendall County Board earlier this month, leaving a vacancy on the school board until the April election.
The School Board is accepting applications through 5 p.m. Friday. Applicants should prepare a cover letter and resume, and either e-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org or hand-deliver them between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in a sealed envelope addressed to the Superintendent’s Assistant, Nicole Sanders, at the district office, 4175 Route 71, Oswego.
Applications will be sent out to all board members for review. Invited candidates will be interviewed in an open session of a board meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 9. Interviews will follow the same format of a candidate forum, with candidates asked questions at the same time in varying order.
Decisions will be made by the board in closed session later that night and announced publicly immediately after.
