ST. CHARLES — Lazarus House, a St. Charles based homeless shelter, is inviting the public to its annual Christmas Brunch on Tuesday.
The brunch will begin at noon at the Free Methodist Church, 214 Walnut St.
The more, the merrier at this “extended family” potluck brunch, said Liz Eakins, Lazarus House executive director.
“Many people in the community are looking for a way to help others,” Eakins said. “We welcome volunteers to bring food and share fellowship at our brunch. This brunch is a chance for our guests to be part of this wonderful community and to not feel alone on Christmas Day.”
For those able to cook, a dish to pass is appreciated, Eakins said. Those bringing food should arrive 15-30 minutes before noon and bring the food in a disposable container. Entrees, side dishes and appetizers are all welcome.
Anyone who plans to attend or provide a special dish is asked, but not required to RSVP by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or to call Lazarus House at 630-587-2144.
