Woman crashes car into Aurora school

No one was injured Tuesday morning when a woman accidently crashed her vehicle into the front doors of a private Aurora school, police said.

Police were called to the Aurora Montessori School, 2100 block of North Aurora Avenue, around 9:15 a.m. after the woman allegedly stepped on the gas pedal, instead of the brake, and crashed through the doors of the school.

No charges were filed against the woman, who had a 5-year-old child with her at the time of the crash. Both the mother and child were checked by paramedics on the scene, police said.

Someone stole a couch, a love seat, and a television, worth $2,600, sometime between 6 a.m. Monday and 1:15 a.m. Tuesday from a home in the 1100 block of Kane Street, police said.

Marquisha King, 1200 block of Sundown Drive, Aurora, was taken to Provena-Mercy Medical Center in Aurora at 5:41 p.m. Sunday after she was involved in a two car crash near Jericho Road and Montgomery Avenue, police said. King was charged with failure to yield, police said

Adonai Chapol, 28, of Chicago, was charged with felony drunken driving as well as misdemeanors defective windshield, improper turn, driving while license suspended and illegal transportation of alcohol at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 12 near Jericho and Orchard roads, police said Tuesday.

Brenda Gutierrez, 26, 700 block of Benton St. Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and transportation of an open alcohol container at 4:48 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Aucutt Road, police said Tuesday.

Oswego

Someone stole between 300 and 500 feet of copper, worth $10,000, sometime before 8:30 a.m. Monday, from a business in the 0-99 block of Stonehill Road, police said.
