OSWEGO — Residents will no longer need to rush over to Village Hall to catch a Village Board meeting.
Trustees this week unanimously approved a contract for $7,356 with Allen Visual Systems, for a one-camera system, plus software and training, for Village Hall, which will allow board meetings to be posted on the village’s website.
Trustees previously approved a proposal from Granicus to stream video of the meetings.
The new technology will allow village staff to both stream and record meetings, and meeting videos will be linked to agendas posted online for easy searching. Video will be recorded in standard definition, though high definition recording and multiple cameras are options that could potentially be added to the system.
Village staff said the new video recording and streaming system could be up and running by late January.
Video will be posted and streamed on oswegoil.org.
