AURORA — Lehnertz Avenue will light up on Sunday for its 61st year, as homeowners on the Aurora street team up to tell the story of Christ’s birth.
The display in the front yards of homes along Lehnertz Avenue from Sheridan to Sherman streets will be lit for the first time at 5 p.m. Sunday. A crib blessing will take place at 6 p.m. in Garfield Park on Lehnertz Avenue near Ohio Street, where Christmas carolers will be singing.
The display on Aurora’s northeast side will be lit each evening from 5 to 10:30 p.m. through Jan. 4. Lights will shine overnight on Christmas Eve.
