$6,500 GPS unit stolen from tractor

A Trimble Easy Steer GPS unit, valued at $6,500, was stolen from a tractor parked in a field in southeastern Kendall County between Oct. 12 and Monday, the sheriff’s office said. The tractor was in a field near Route 52, east of Ridge Road in Seward Township.

Veronica Escalante, 29, 200 block of Stuart Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft at 11:43 a.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Route 34, police said.
