Curtain officially going up at Yorkville’s River’s Edge Theater

YORKVILLE — Friday’s official opening for River’s Edge Theater will feature Miles Nielsen, Todd Kessler and Jon Conover.
While shows have been performed in the theater at 217 S. Bridge St. since it changed its name from the Follies Theater to River’s Edge, Friday is the official opening show.
The show by the three singer-songwriters begin at 8 p.m., with Kessler going first, followed by Nielsen at 9 p.m. Conover, joined on keyboard by friend and producer Ed Roth, will take the stage at 10 p.m. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.
The show will be recorded live and segments used for a music video. Everyone at the show can participate in the video.
Nielsen is the son of Rick Nielsen, a founding member of Cheap Trick. Miles and his band have just finished a tour with the BoDeans. Kessler is a musician who was on this season of “The Voice.”
Conover is a touring musician and recording artist and the manager of the River’s Edge Theater.
