Aurora man charged with not keeping current with Violent Offender registry

Johnny Dickens, 48, 300 block of Old Indian Trail, Aurora, was charged with felony violation of his duty to register for the Violent Offender Against Youth Registry on Wednesday at the Aurora Police Station, Aurora police said. Dickens was required to register because he has been convicted of aggravated battery to a child younger than 13, according to state records.

Jesus Romero, 22, 1200 block of Summit Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felonies domestic battery, violating an order of protection and escape from a peace officer at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of South Glen Circle, police said.
Alicia Graves, 26, 1000 block of Alameda Drive, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed and improper lane use at 12:40 a.m. Thursday on the North Avenue bridge, police said.
Ivan Corral, 26, 500 block of Spruce Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, disregarding a stop sign and failure to signal at 1:26 a.m. November near Pierce Street and Lincoln Avenue, police said.
About $1,000 damage was done when two panes of glass were broken at 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the 0-99 block of West New York Street, police said.
About $1,200 damage was done when someone poured an unidentified substance on a car in the 1400 block of McClure Road between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Oswego
Kara Matzke, 21, of Aurora, was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in a two-car crash at Orchard Road and Lewis Street at 8:45 p.m. Friday, police said. Angela Campos, 41, of Oswego, was injured and taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, police said.
