AURORA — The downtown Dower Place bridge project in Aurora is moving ever closer to completion.
Crews placed the concrete wearing surface on the east Downer bridge Wednesday, and will do the same work on the west bridge on Friday, city spokesman Kevin Stahr said.
The bridge contractor this week continued work on installing the arched fascia panels.
Next week, crews will install the water main that is attached to the north side of the bridges and utility conduits that are attached to the south side of the bridges, Stahr said.
The Downer Place bridge construction project, which began in February, is on track for completion by mid- to late November.
