Sunday school teachers from the local Shiridi Sai Mandir Hindu congregation this month got their students involved in an effort to help youngsters at Smith Elementary School on Aurora’s West Side.
The Hindu Sunday School class sold lemonade at their annual Labor Day festival, and then used the proceeds to purchase backpacks filled with school supplies for Smith School students in need.
