Two charged with burglary in Aurora

Sergio B. Perez, 20, of the 1300 block of South Glen Circle, and Claudia S. Gomez, 17, of Lisle, were charged with felony burglary at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Avenue and Kensington Place, Aurora police said. Gomez was also charged with possession of burglary tools, a misdemeanor, police said.

Aurora

Someone may have been injured in a two-car crash at 8:32 p.m. Thursday at Orchard Road and Prairie Street. No one was charged after Dragan Petric struck Matthew D. Kuntzman as Kuntzman was turning left, police said. No other information was released.

Someone was injured and Eric A. Williams was charged with failure to reduce speed after his vehicle collided with a car driven by Michael J. Chadney at 12:45 p.m. Thursday on Route 59 near Montgomery Road, police said. Chadney was charged with no insurance. No other information was released.

Someone was injured in a vehicle-pedestrian accident at 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Cerena Court, police said. A vehicle driven by Rita L. Martinez struck Tanveer Jafferi and Jafferi’s son while they were crossing the cul de sac, police said. No one was charged and no other information was released.

Batavia

Kevin M. Gancarz, 19, of the 800 block of Queens Gate, Sugar Grove, and two youths under age 16 were charged with criminal trespassing at 12:54 a.m. Friday at the Quarry Beach pool in the 400 block of S. Water Street, Batavia police said.

Daniel S. Ryan, 54, of the 100 block of Branford Avenue, Batavia, was charged with drunken driving, DUI over the 0.08 legal limit and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 8:25 p.m. Thursday in the 0-99 block of W. Wilson Street, Batavia police said.

A specialized “Stump Jumper” multi-speed bicycle valued at $2,700 was stolen at 12:46 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West Wilson Street, Batavia police said. The bike has a removable rear fender and a water bottle brace attached.

Geneva

Paul C. Dodds, 37, of the 0N500 block of Fieldstone Lane, Geneva, was charged with unlawful loitering near a public park as a registered child sex offender on Aug. 3, Geneva police said. Police said the offense occurred on June 17 at the Eagle Brook Park located in the 1900 block of Bent Tree Drive between Fabyan Parkway and Randall Road.

Kendall County

Cynthia A. Alcantara, 48, of Plainfield, was charged with drunk driving and illegal transportation of alcohol after an incident at 12:36 p.m. Wednesday at Wold Road and Harvey Road. According to police, Alcantara’s vehicle left the roadway and got stuck in a culvert.

Sugar Grove

More than 500 motorcycles are scheduled to pass through Sugar Grove around 10 a.m. today during the FAST Ride for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome awareness.

Traffic on Route 56, Route 30, Dugan Road and Granart Road will experience delays for the rally, which should take about 20 minutes to pass through town, authorities said.
