Aurora teen charged in beating of 7-Eleven employee

WHEATON- An Aurora teenager is one of four people ordered held on $500,000 bond for beating and robbing a 7-Eleven employee early Thursday in west suburban Lisle.

Steven V. Gayden, 17, of the 100 block of Gregory Street in Aurora, Deshaun Wilson, 17, of the 2900 block of Burlington Avenue in Lisle, and Antonio M. Finley, 21, of the 4500 block of Shabbona Lane in Lisle, and Antwan Jones Jr., 18, of the 11400 block of South Throop Street in Chicago, were each charged with one count each of robbery, mob action, retail theft and criminal damage to property, according to a release from the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s office.

DuPage County Judge Elizabeth Sexton ordered all four held on $500,000 bond, the release said.

The four entered the 7-Eleven convenience store in the 4600 block of Old Tavern Road in Lisle about 2:15 a.m. Thursday and robbed and physically assaulted an employee, the release said. Miscellaneous items were taken from the store.

The employee was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville for treatment, the release said. No weapon was used in the attack.

Police arrested the four about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
