Jaime Miramontes, 18, 7300 block Helmar Road, Yorkville, was charged with driving under the influence after his car went into a ditch near Mill and Big Rock roads at 1:14 a.m. Sunday, the Kendall County sheriff’s office said. According to police, when officers found him, Miramontes did not realize his vehicle was missing a tire from an earlier crash in Montgomery, police said.
A woman reported that someone slipped an explosive device into her rental car sometime between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday while it was parked near Perry Court and McClure Road, police said. The device shattered the windshield, tore the carpet and caused the airbag to deploy, police said.
Mayra Hernandez, 31, 600 block of Rural Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and failure to signal at 3:46 a.m. Saturday near Fourth Avenue and Bevier Place, police said.
Alma Lopez, 26, 3400 block of West 73rd Street, Chicago, was charged with felony prostitution at 4:38 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Trask Street, police said.
Deidra Austin, 18, 800 block of California Court, Aurora, was charged with felonies aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, aggravated assault to a police officer and knowingly damaging property as well as misdemeanors aggravated assault and disorderly conduct at 1 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of California Court, police said.
A 50-year-old Kendall County woman reported that she received between 80 and 100 unwanted cell phone calls between 3:30 p.m. May 12 and 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office said. Police are investigating.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the theft of 350 gallons of gas from an above-ground tank in the 4700 block of Chicago Road, near Minooka, between June 11 and 13, police said Monday.
Gustavo Alegria, 23, of the 400 block of Downer Place, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use at 2 a.m. Monday near Route 30 and Lakewood Creek Drive, police said.
Robert Molitor, 37, 600 block of Belmont Avenue, Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 12:15 a.m. Monday near Routes 30 and 34, police said.
Carol Jost, 79, 300 block of East Kendall Drive, Yorkville, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after she crashed her vehicle into a building at 7:50 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Route 71, while trying to park, police said. No tickets were issued.
