Country Folk Art Festival: Dozens of artisans will sell their wares at the 29th annual Autumn Country Folk Art Festival from Sept. 23 through 25 at the Kane County Fairgrounds, Randall Road. Items include costumes, chairs, baskets and fairy wings, along with homemade food and refreshments. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 Friday; $6 Saturday; $4 Sunday. Children younger than 15 attend free. Ask about group rates. Free parking. Handicapped accessible. Lyon Farm Fall Festival: The Kendall County Historical Society will host their 38th annual Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 and 25 at the Lyon Farm and Village, 7935 Route 71 in Yorkville. Events will include crafts, antique and flea market booths, antique tractors, cars and trucks. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for kids 7 to 12, and kids 6 and younger admitted free. Pumpkin Daze: Marmion’s Abbey Farms Pumpkin Daze is open every weekend through Oct. 30. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays at 850 Butterfield Road in Aurora. General admission wristbands are $8; kids younger than 2 admitted free with parent. Admission includes unlimited access to the 10 acre corn maze, hayride, bouncy huts, various games, big wheel, racetrack, pumpkin coloring station, marshmallow roasting and campfires. Parking is free. Geneva Autumn Fair: The Geneva Park District Foundation welcomes families to enjoy a day of fun at the annual free Autumn Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Peck Farm Park, 4038 Kaneville Road, Geneva. Activities will include pony rides, food, children’s games, crafts, birds of prey exhibit, musical entertainment, touch-a-truck exhibit and the final opportunity of the season to visit the award-winning Butterfly House. Batavia House Walk: Five distinctive homes and a tea will highlight this years’ walk from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 25. This years’ tour includes a recently remodeled 1870’s historical home that is used as a convent, an 1888 Victorian and a 2004 old-world style home.
