Trudie

Age: 5 years old

Breed: Short-haired calico

Background: Trudie has been in foster care since she was a kitten, along with her three sisters.

Personality: Trudie is a really sweet kitty. She is mostly white with big blotches of orange and black. She loves to play with her sisters, and is always happy to climb in your lap as soon as you sit down. She also enjoys “helping” her foster mom clean litter boxes.

Adoption fee: $100

Other: Spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines

Where to find this pet: Paws and Purrs Humane Society, 630-897-8738, www.pawsandpurrs.org.

Fred

Age: 8 months old

Breed: Lab mix

Background: Fred came to ADOPT from Quincy in May.

Personality: Fred is a playful lab mix who enjoys the company of other dogs at the shelter. He would do well in a home with children 6 years old and older. Because of his high energy level, he would do best in a home with no cats, and will require obedience training and a fenced yard.

Adoption fee: $250

Other: All animals at ADOPT are vet checked, spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter, 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville, 630-355-2299 or www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Sleeping Beauty

Age: Almost 15 years old

Breed: Domestic short hair

Background: Sleeping Beauty was given up in March by her owner because of allergies in a foster child.

Personality: Sleeping Beauty is a senior cat who is a two-paw declawed. She is having a difficult time adjusting to shelter life. She loves pets and being brushed.

Adoption fee: $50

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter
