Losing weight is a common goal that most people can relate to. Many find it difficult to stay motivated, but Amber Albus, of Big Rock, has found her outlet. Albus, 37, has been documenting her weight loss journey on her blog, It’s All Good.

“I hope to document my story to benefit others and also to benefit myself. I think we can learn a lot from our own words,” Albus said. “Being able to look back and read why you made the decisions that you made can help you make better future choices. I also think by blogging you hold yourself accountable.”

Albus began the Beachbody Ultimate Reset at the beginning of the year and has chronicled her meals, tips for staying motivated and her feelings on the process. Albus has lost almost 15 pounds in three weeks, and though the reset is over, she has maintained the lifestyle change.

“I have always struggled with my weight,” Albus said. “I can lose it, and within a couple months or years, gain it all back. I have decided that I want to be fit. I want to be comfortable in my clothes and in my life. The healthier I get the better I feel. My mind and body work better together.”

Readers of It’s All Good will follow Albus on her journey and through her ups and downs. Albus has a relatable story, but she’s found a plan that works for her. She describes what she is doing to maintain her food and exercise plan, as well as the support system in her life.

Albus is making this lifestyle change with a friend, who has been a large part of her progress. Having a support system is key for any major change, and Albus’ journey proves no different.

“We have a system worked out to keep each other on task. She makes our breakfast and snack, I cook our lunch and dinner,” Albus said. “She is also there when I am hungry to cheer me on or to cheer me up. It’s nice to have a friend.”
