Open houses at AU: Aurora University will host two open houses in September for prospective students. VFW POW-MIA ceremony: The Montgomery Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7452 will be conducting POW-MIA ceremonies at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at 121 N. River St. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and the Friday night fish fry.
Waubonsee’s Plano campus tour: Individuals interested in enrolling at Waubonsee Community College are invited to attend Experience Waubonsee from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the college’s Plano campus, 100 Waubonsee Drive. Attendees will tour the campus, meet Waubonsee staff members and get a taste of college life. Garden tour: PEO Chapter FO Sandwich and Redbud Creek Farm will sponsor a Fall Garden Tour and Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, rain date Sept. 23. Five gardens will be featured.
