Bo

Age: 5 years old

Breed: Short-hair tan and white

Background: Bo and his sisters came into foster care when they were about eight weeks old.

Personality: Bo is a “big lug” of a cat, with a great personality. He is tan and white, very friendly and gets along well with most other cats. Bo and his sister Lucy were adopted together as kittens, but were returned after a year because of the circumstances beyond their family’s control. Bo is eager to find a new home, hopefully with Lucy.

Adoption fee: $100

Other: Neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots

Where to find this pet: Paws and Purrs Humane Society, 630-897-8738 or www.pawsandpurrs.org.

Guinevere

Age: 3 years old

Breed: Domestic short hair Siamese mix

Background: Guinevere was rescued in March from Chicago Animal Control.

Personality: Guinevere has beautiful blue eyes and a sweet disposition. She is a little shy around new cats but can learn to live with them. Being a lady of some royal blood, she deserves a quiet home where she can be treated like the queen that she is.

Adoption fee: $100

Other: All animals at ADOPT are vet checked, spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter, 630-355-2299 or www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Sadie Sue

Age: About 7 years

Breed: Collie/Labrador retriever mix

Background: Sadie Sue came to ADOPT from a shelter in Southern Illinois. She has been at the shelter since May 12.

Personality: Want a couch potato? Want a walking buddy? Want a companion? Sadie Sue is all of those things and more! She’s a loveable dog with a calm, gentle and friendly demeanor. She knows a couple of commands and how to play ball. Sadie Sue is also a nice size dog at 49 pounds.

Adoption fee: $250

Other: All animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter, 630-355-2299 or www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Bandit

Age: 2 years old

Breed: Rhodesian ridgeback mix. He looks like he could be part bulldog, but has the tall and lean body shape.

Background: Bandit was adopted from HELP when he was about 3 months old and was returned because the family was having a second child.

Personality: This 60-pounder has the sweetest personality. He is anxious to please and knows some basic commands. Bandit grew up with a small child and is great around kids. Bandit would do better in a home as an only dog or with another female. He plays with other dogs during the day at a doggy day care and just doesn’t have the confidence for “in your face” dogs. Bandit sleeps through the night and very much loves to be around his people. Bandit is low to medium energy.

Other: Bandit is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shot and monthly heartworm and flea preventative.

Where to find him: Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets, www.helpinganimals.org or 877-364-2286.

Personality: Gentle, shy, likes to sit on laps

Harry

Background: Surrendered due to energy level

Personality: Very friendly, affectionate, loving. Good with dogs and cats.

Adoption fee: $75

Travis

Age: 4 years old

Breed: Short-hair mackerel tabby

Background: Travis lost his mom when he was barely 2 weeks old, and he and his siblings were bottle fed by their foster mom.

Personality: Because he was raised by humans, he is very loving with people. Like his brother Stanley, he has a slight front claw deformity, which doesn’t bother him a bit. Travis is a wonderful, sweet boy.

Adoption fee: $100

Other: Neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines

Where to find this pet: Paws and Purrs Humane Society, 630-897-8738 or www.pawsandpurrs.org.

Toby

Age: 7 years old

Breed: Dachshund

Background: Toby came to ADOPT because his previous owners could no longer care for him. He has been at the shelter for a couple of weeks.

Personality: The ultimate ham, he adores people, is very affectionate and will make a great companion. Toby even gets along well with cats. He’s currently a little chubby and needs to slim down.

Adoption fee: $200

Other: All animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter, 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville, 630-355-2299 or www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Sundance

Age: 1-1/2 years old

Breed: Orange/buff and white domestic short hair male

Background: Sundance has been at ADOPT since January from Sandwich Vet Clinic.

Personality: This handsome gent is very laid back and gets along with everyone. He is up for hugs and kisses, as well as a quiet game of mouse chase. He could handle being an only cat, but sure doesn’t mind having feline company either. He would do well with a quiet family.

Adoption fee: $100

Other: All animals at ADOPT are vet checked, spayed or neutered, microchipped and are up to date on age-related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: ADOPT Pet Shelter, 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville, 630-355-2299 or www.adoptpetshelter.org.
