Alzheimer’s forum set for North Aurora

Updated: March 16, 2012 8:07AM

NORTH AURORA — Is it normal, age-related memory loss and nothing to worry about, or could it be the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease?

With 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every day, this is a question that is being asked more frequently.

A free program titled “Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters” is scheduled for 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Asbury Gardens Supportive Living Center, 210 Airport Road, North Aurora.

The program, open to the public, will be presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter. Experts will speak on the difference between just “getting older” and the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

Anyone interested in attending can register by calling the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter at 815-744-0804.
